I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. I came here for my sixteenth birthday, as I wanted a nice meal in a beautiful setting. Bistro Cacao did NOT disappoint!! The restaurant is gorgeous and immediately transports you to France. The owner was incredibly kind and seated us at the absolute best table, near the window on the second floor. Service was quick and attentive, and the food was AMAZING. We started with the steak tartare, charcuterie, and brussels sprouts. All of it was delicious, as well as the complimentary bread and butter that was brought to us. We then decided on our entrees, a very tough decision. I ordered the bronzini grille which blew me away! Finally, we ordered the creme brûlée trio for desert. When it arrived, so did a surprise birthday treat! Both of them were so delicious and decadent. I’d go as far as to say this was the best meal I’ve ever had!
The food was ok. The 3 dishes I had were ok nothing was exceptional. The services was pretty much absent most of the time. We had to call and stand up to look for silverware, salt and pepper and so on.
A wonderful restaurant and dining experience! Did the Chefs Tasting with wine pairing for our Anniversary, superb.A delicious range of dishes, perfectly portioned, lovely sorbet interlude between the duck and the filet, and excellent wines.Maitre’d Anthony was a delight, the staff attentive, and the ambiance memorable. We will be returning, with friends : )Merci pour une merveilleuse soir, et à bien tôt j’espère !
The $$$ status drops to $$ during restaurant week, so I came here for a $25 weekend brunch and had a wonderful time. The ambiance is magical with the red curtains, private enclosures, and soft french music. I ordered the goat cheese salad for my appetizer, eggs benedict for my entree, and french toast for my dessert. All are 10/10.
10/10!! Highly recommend the mussels, steak and frittes and chocolate tart. We came here for restaurant week and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is GORGEOUS and the staff is incredible. Pretty good prices too!
I recently visited at Bistro Cacao and had a delightful experience overall. The ambiance was fantastic, creating a perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The staff were attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. The food was exquisite, capturing the essence of French cuisine beautifully. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that they don't offer plant-based milk options. As someone who is lactose intolerant, this meant I had to skip my usual coffee and opt for tea instead. It would be great if they could add plant-based milk alternatives to their menu, accommodating guests with dietary restrictions.Aside from this, everything else was top-notch, and I would still highly recommend this restaurant for its great vibe and wonderful service.
Pretty good experience but nothing exceptionally noteworthy. Maybe it’s because we ordered bœuf bourguignon in the summer. Maybe the restaurant was overhyped. Either way, I wish I would have ordered the champagne poached pear. The 3% “surcharge fee” is cowardice. Just add it to the menu prices and not be deceptive.
